At For The Deaf Girl and The Deaf Social, we set out to create these safe, accessible, and inclusive spaces in our community for the dDeaf, Hard of Hearing, Disabled, and Chronically Ill Communities. To us, accessibility transcends the necessities.

ONLINE:
We have several Facebook groups including For The Deaf Girl, The Deaf Social Chat, Moms of DHH Kiddos, and The Deaf Social & Friends. These spaces are designed to connect those in the dDeaf and Hard of Hearing community and their loved ones.
IN-PERSON:
We currently host monthly in-person dDeaf & Hard of Hearing Hangouts for women in Lynchburg, VA. We are currently working on setting up host teams in several states, so stay tuned!

We offer free mentoring sessions for DHH women, and families of DHH kiddos. These 1:1 sessions are available both online and in-person. If you are looking to learn more about the Deaf community, Deaf culture or are interested in exploring your deaf identity feel free to fill out our mentoring inquiry form here.

ACADEMIC EXTRACURRICULARS
We plan on launch after-school club curriculum and chapter memberships to schools for the 2025-2026 school year. Each chapter receives educational materials and lesson plans designed to teach the next generation about disability awareness and how to make more accessible spaces for the dDeaf and disabled communities.
FREE PAPER RESOURCES
We are looking to partner with schools, clinics, and community centers to provide free paper materials. Our mission is to reach and provide resources for as many dDeaf and Hard of Hearing individuals and their families as possible.

An online event specifically designed for dDeaf and Hard of Hearing individuals who are 18+ with Disabilities, Neurodivergence, and Chronic Illness.
dDeafness is a beautiful spectrum, each individual uniquely experiencing life and hearing loss. While it doesn’t define us, it’s a core aspect of who we are, and how we view and interact with the world. Addressing this part of our story should be a personal and unique experience, bringing you closer to a sense of self-love and acceptance. Our mentoring services are meant to connect you with resources designed to help navigate the hearing world and connect you with your dDeaf identity.
